Module 5: Subject: My Survey

Now, this was pretty cool! I really liked the fact that I can create a survey like this and just share it with my students. I can definitely see myself creating surveys or tests that my students can complete using a computer. I liked the fact that once the people that are surveyed submit their answers, they automatically come back to my email and I can start looking at their answers. With all the extra copying of assignments that I have to do because students lose their copies, this would be an easy and practical way to allow students to access the materials electronically and not have to worry about keeping track of bulky paper packets. One thing still worries me, though: How do I know that my dear students will not open their email, have someone who actually paid attention in class complete the assignment and then send it as their own? I guess I could have a computer in my class where students can sit and complete the assignment under my supervision. I think I’ll be trying this pretty soon!

Module 4: Subject: My Passions

There are few things in the world that really get me going. While most people go crazy about traveling and other lavish activities, I would rather pick up a ball and a bunch of kids, walk to the nearest park and teach them how to play sports. One of the things I enjoy the most is seeing others learn new things and being successful at a new activity. I love watching sports on TV, although statistics drive me insane. I don’t like statistics; if I can’t see it, I would rather not hear about it. While I’m a sport enthusiast, winning is not first on my book. I care about the  competition and most importantly the qualities of the competitors. I’m a biomechanics fanatic. I like to see things done well, especially when it comes to sports. I guess I love teaching all of this, particularly because my son is at that age where he wants to do everything Daddy does and I just can’t wait to teach him something new each day.

Hello Brave New Worl!

We have arrived! or should I say, Have we arrived? This is my second attempt at this. The first time I tried it I messed up somewhere and then I could not log back in. Quite frankly, it was very time-consuming and frustrating at times when I didn’t understand what to do next. So here I go! I’m going to try this again.
